Our traditional shades are all hand sewn to give you the ability to hand wash them. This also gives the option of relining if the lining ever tears from old age.

When making our silk shades, we cut, bend, weld and paint the frames. Once this process is complete, we bind the frames, cut the pattern and sew the fabric. The tabs are then put on, along with the trim.

Just like with our modern shades, the top wires are mostly white, but can be custom done in a silver, brass, antique brass, brown or black finish. These options give the ability to match your hardware if you chose to do so.
